·       Circulation – a count of how many copies of a particular publication are distributed

·       Readership – an estimate of how many readers a publication has

·       Left wing – ideas such as freedom, internationalism, socialism, equality, and progress; has an interest in the wellbeing of society.

·       Right wing – ideas such as hierarchy, nationalism, capitalism, and tradition.

·       Tabloid – image led popular newspapers, focus more on celebrity gossip and scandal than politics

·       Broadsheet – “quality” newspapers, more complex language with in depth-analysis
